Fifteen years ago, Dr. Freddie Ulan created the Advanced Clinical Training Program in Nutrition Response Testing to give practitioners the clinical tools they needed to be able to handle any patient.
For many years Dr. Ulan had been teaching only one class, but he found that there was a demand for more in-depth information.
“Every practitioner has his attention on the small percentage of patients that present a challenge,” explains Dr. Ulan. “We routinely see patients getting well, but there are a few that present a real challenge.”
Many of his patients had been to several different doctors before coming to see him and he continued to research ways to handle these so-called “difficult” cases. This led to the development of a series of advanced protocols now taught as the Advanced Clinical Training Program. It is the highest level of training offered in Nutrition Response Testing.
“Each time I made a breakthrough it was based on the foundation of the basic Nutrition Response Testing work, with a slightly different viewpoint,” says Dr. Ulan. “Each breakthrough gave me two things: an appreciation for the importance of the basics of Nutrition Response Testing and it made it easier to handle my normal patients.”
Robert Harward is a Chiropractor who works at the Nashville Health and Wellness Center. He was trained in Applied Kinesiology (AK), a form of muscle testing, prior to learning Nutrition Response Testing. but found that he had unanswered questions. The most pressing was “What do I do first?”
“The man who trained me in AK was trained by George Goodheart, the founder of AK,” says Harward. “Yet I still had patients I couldn’t help, And I never knew where to start. Once I learned Nutrition Response Testing all that changed.”
Dr. Ulan discovered that if you could figure out how to prioritize, you can start with the right problem and go from there. “The body is like a combination lock – you have to know which is the fastest, easiest, and most economical way to unlock the problems it is presenting,” explain Dr. Ulan. “It’s complex and can be overwhelming.”
All the organs interact with one another. By using this system of priorities, you avoid giving the patient nutrients for something that is only showing up because of its interaction with the priority problem.
The Advanced Clinical Training Program made all the difference for Harward. “I am so much more capable now, and I’m getting much better results,” he says excitedly. “There’s more to know than you know. If you have patients that are stumping you, do the ACT program. The training will answer all your questions.”
